Tag Tri is back- bigger and better than before! After a successful first event, we're excited to be hosting the second Tag Triathlon in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK. Not only was our first event great fun, we raised over £8000 for Pancreatic Cancer UK in memory of our loved ones. So let's do it again! This is a half-Olympic Distance Triathlon (750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run), designed with families in mind. Each event has a dedicated start time and you can take part in some or all events as you wish. This is non-competitive....or that's what we keep trying to tell Ken (co-organiser!)- but promises to be a fun event for all abilities. The key details are: Saturday 28th June 2025, all events starting from Spring Lakes 2pm- 750m Open Water Swim at Spring Lakes 3pm- 20km cycle ride begins 4.45pm- 5km run begins We're also pleased to be hosting an 'after party' in the marquee at Spring Lakes- so please stick around to celebrate your achievement and help us raise more money for Pancreatic Cancer UK. The entry fee for those aged 10+ is £10 for those who are taking part in the swim, and £5 for non-swimmers. Derby Dolls Junior Derby Camp is for girls, transgender and gender nonconforming youth ages 7-17 and for skill levels Novice to Intermediate - skaters must be able to skate/roll on their own, unassisted. Camp is designed to teach the fundamentals of roller derby to newer skaters and not intended for higher level junior roller derby skaters. Campers will be divided by skill level and will be in classes designed to both challenge and empower them. In addition to skating classes, campers will participate in various off-skates training and activities. Lauren runs our monthly Creative Writing Group for people with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) / Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD). The group offers a chance for like-minded people to gather in a safe environment, socialise and have fun, whilst gaining experience and confidence in using creative writing as a tool for escapism, self-expression. These free sessions include games, exercises, discussion etc. Anyone who is over 18 and has a diagnosis of BPD/EUPD is very welcome to come along to our writing group - you really don't need any previous writing experience or talent - it's more about just expressing yourself and having fun! (Please note that our groups are not therapy groups to explore difficulties, but rather a space to focus on positive elements of ourselves and our lives). We know it can be scary coming to a new group, but everyone is really lovely and will make you feel welcome. Doors will open 30 minutes before the show begins, meaning they will open at7.30 pm. This will give you ample time to come into the space, find your seat and relax before the music begins at 8.00pm. What are the stage times? There is no support act, so the show will begin at 8.00pm sharp. There will be two sets with a 20 minute interval, with the event finishing around 9.20pm. What age is the performance suitable for? This performance is suitable for all ages, however we would recommend parental discretion. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. What are the seating arrangements? When you book your tickets, you can select which section you would like of unreserved seating. This gives you first-come-first-served access to that section of seating and does not guaratee you a particular seat. Is there disabled access? The copper foil method, also known as the Tiffany Method, is a technique used in stained glass construction. This method involves wrapping the edges of each glass piece with copper foil tape. The pieces are then joined together by soldering, which creates a metal framework that holds the glass together. This one-day course is designed to equip you with the skills, tools, and glass necessary to create one to two stained glass sun catchers using the copper foil technique. We will start the workshop with an overview of the basic tools used for scoring and cutting glass, followed by a short demonstration on how to break glass safely. You will then have the opportunity to practice your cutting skills on standard ‘float’ glass. Once you feel comfortable, you will select a design from a variety of available templates. You will cut and prepare pieces of colored art glass to build your first design. After that, you will learn how to grind the edges of each glass piece in preparation for foiling. You will be taught how to apply the foil to the glass pieces. After a lunch break, we will continue the workshop by learning how to solder all the glass pieces together. If time allows, you will have the opportunity to create a second sun catcher. All pieces made during the course will be yours to take home and keep. To ensure the quality of your personal experience, group size will be limited to 6. What will I need to bring? You will need to bring your lunch. All materials will be provided. Tag Tri is back- bigger and better than before! After a successful first event, we're excited to be hosting the second Tag Triathlon in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK. Not only was our first event great fun, we raised over £8000 for Pancreatic Cancer UK in memory of our loved ones. So let's do it again! This is a half-Olympic Distance Triathlon (750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run), designed with families in mind. Each event has a dedicated start time and you can take part in some or all events as you wish. This is non-competitive....or that's what we keep trying to tell Ken (co-organiser!)- but promises to be a fun event for all abilities. Let Me In Presents are back, returning for a UK Cathedral Tour, this Autumn, of their brand new production - An Evening of Pink Floyd - following their sell-out, acclaimed tour of An Evening of Radiohead. It promises to be a spectacular live show featuring a full live band, vocalists and a string & brass ensemble, performing in some of the most breathtaking buildings in the UK. Witness the iconic sound of Pink Floyd's vast and ethereal catalogue of music, performed live by the acclaimed Let Me In House Band, alongside the Mike Nowland String and Brass Ensemble - featuring a total of 18 musicians, embodying the timeless songs of one of the most popular artists of all time. Expect to hear hits and hidden gems from across their discography, with a particular focus on the inimitable run of records from the 1970s, including Dark Side of The Moon, Wish You Were Here and The Wall. There is no support act, so the music will begin at 8.00pm sharp. There will be two sets with a 20 minute interval, with the event finishing around 10.30pm. Will there be strobes/haze/flashing lights? Yes, there will be strobes and flashing lights throughout the performance, so we recommend that this production is not suitable for those with epilepsy or that struggle with strobes and flashing lighting. Haze will be used where possible, venue permitting. What age is the performance suitable for? This performance is suitable for all ages, however, there are some intense lighting and sound moments throughout the evening, and we would recommend parental discretion. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (18+). What are the seating arrangements? When you book your tickets, you can select which section you would like of unreserved seating. This gives you first-come-first-served access to that section of seating and does not guaratee you a particular seat. We will ensure that all parties are sat together. Is there disabled access? It is incredibly important to us that our performances are accessible to everyone that wants to come - therefore, we have ensured that An Evening of Pink Floyd is accessible to all. We recognise that not all accessibility is visible, therefore we have separated ticketing into two bands - Accessible and Wheelchair Accessible.
