Join the SVBC San Carlos/Belmont local team on a fun ride from the Belmont Public Library to the Belmont Farmers Market on October 8th. This exciting event offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy a Sunday morning bike ride with new friends while also taking care of your grocery shopping. Skip the hassle of parking and traffic as you zip past with a smile on your face! The ride will begin with a bike safety check, introductions, and valuable tips on how to carry your farmers market goodies on your bike. Please arrive by 10AM at the Belmont Public Library, and the ride will start promptly at 10:30AM. We will be cruising at a comfortable pace of 10-11 mph on city streets, covering a distance of approximately 1.7 miles. Whether you ride an e-bike, tandem, recumbent, trike, or bike with a trailer, you are welcome to join. As long as youth participants can confidently ride without training wheels, they are also encouraged to join in the fun. After reaching the Belmont Farmers Market, feel free to explore the market and purchase some delicious goodies. When you're ready, pack up your bike and choose to either ride back to the starting point as a group or head home from the market. If you choose to ride back as a group, we will depart from the Belmont Caltrain station approximately 45 minutes after our arrival at the market. Make sure to bring a working bike, water, a snack, layers for different weather conditions, and a flat repair kit if you have one.
