Deaf Night at the KMA is a remarkable event that warmly invites Knoxville's Deaf Community to an open house at the prestigious Knoxville Museum of Art. This exclusive evening, taking place on October 24, 2023, provides a wonderful opportunity to explore the museum's current exhibitions, including Jane Cassidy: Drink Up the Moon, Currents: Recent Art from East Tennessee and Beyond, Cycle of Life: Within the Power of Dreams and the Wonder of Infinity, Facets of Modern and Contemporary Glass, and the Thorne Rooms.
Throughout the evening, accessible tours, led by knowledgeable KMA docents accompanied by student interpreters from the University of Tennessee and the community, will be available to ensure an enriching experience for all attendees. Immerse yourself in the world of art and indulge in interactive and accessible activities, fostering a sense of unity among friends and family.
To enhance your visit, light refreshments will be provided, offering a delightful respite during your exploration. This extraordinary event is completely free and open to the public, highlighting the museum's commitment to inclusivity and accessibility.
