Join the Hospitality Business Alumni & Friends Golf Outing on Thursday, September 21 in East Lansing. This exciting event is a 9-hole scramble golf outing and networking reception designed to kick-off the hospitality business homecoming activities while also providing crucial funding support for student scholarships. The outing will take place at the beautiful Forest Akers East Golf Course, with a 9-hole (scramble) shotgun start. After the golfing, join us for a Networking Reception at the Forest Akers West banquet room. The reception will feature a variety of delicious appetizers and a cash bar for your enjoyment. You can choose from two different packages. The Golf Outing and Networking Reception package is priced at $100. It includes golf at Forest Akers East Golf Course for a 4-person 9-hole scramble, as well as attendance at the 19th Hole Networking Reception at Forest Akers West banquet room. For those looking to make a bigger impact, consider the Golf Outing with a Student and Networking Reception package, priced at $150. By sponsoring a student, you will have the opportunity to golf alongside them. This package includes golf for you and a student at Forest Akers East Golf Course, as well as attendance at the 19th Hole Networking Reception. Additional student sponsorships are available at $50 per student. If the weather does not cooperate, we have a rain plan in place. Improv 301: Patterns & Games is a highly engaging and collaborative class that focuses on recognizing patterns and building together to enhance your improv skills. This class, instructed by Harrison Brooks, will take place on Sundays from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, starting on September 17th and running for 8 weeks. As an additional opportunity, there will be a showcase scheduled during the week of Sunday November 12th. It is important to note that all participants must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and will be required to show proof of vaccination on the first day of class. Following the latest CDC guidelines, masks will be optional for those with confirmed vaccination status. Prior to enrolling in this class, participants are required to have completed Improv 101 and 201. By exploring the creation of patterns and discovering games to propel scenes forward, you will gain the ability to captivate audiences with your spontaneous group acceptance and collaboration. This third level course will help you break free from overthinking and focus on your team's needs, allowing you to truly shine on stage.
