Join the Best Buddies Challenge team for the final training ride of 2023 at the BBC: Medusa Brewing Company Training Ride. This event will take place on Saturday, October 21st at Medusa's Downtown Beer Garden in Hudson, MA. Riders will gather at the Beer Garden before heading out on one of two routes departing from Hudson. The options include a 40-mile loop with 1,580 feet of elevation or a 33-mile loop with 1,175 feet of elevation. The estimated ride time is 2-3 hours. Both routes will take riders northeast towards Concord before turning south along familiar local training roads. Along the way, participants will have the opportunity to pass by iconic Walden Pond, made famous by Henry David Thoreau. The shorter route option will return through the Assabet National Wildlife Refuge, while the longer route option will venture further south to embrace the northern edge of the Sudbury Reservoir before looping back on the Assabet River Rail Trail. After the ride, participants are invited to stay at the Beer Garden for a complimentary round and to hear about the exciting plans for the 2024 training ride schedule and the 2024 Best Buddies Challenge: Hyannis Port.
