Join the Trek Newington Road Ride Climbing Focused event every Wednesday to enhance your climbing skills and endurance. Led by the experienced ride leader, 2 x Olympian Jimena Florit, this ride is suitable for all skill levels. It is not necessary to be a seasoned climber to participate. Begin with a friendly warm-up ride of approximately 15 miles towards Castle Craig, followed by climbing repeats each week. In the first week, we will start with two repeats, gradually increasing the distance and elevation in subsequent weeks. The total ride distance for week 1 will be approximately 34 miles. If climbing is not your preference, you can still join the ride and cheer on the climbers as they make their way up. You can then ride back to the shop together. Alternatively, you may choose to meet us at the base of the climb for your own climbing pleasure. The ride will maintain a pace of 12-15 mph on flat/rolling terrain, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all participants. This is a no-drop ride, guaranteeing that no one will be left behind. The ride will commence promptly at 9 AM, so please ensure you arrive on time to avoid having to catch up. Please note that the ride is weather-dependent. In case of rain, snow, or temperatures below 20 degrees, the ride will be canceled.
