Join the SCUBA Experience (Intro) for Veterans & Individuals event in Sunrise at the Sunrise Civic Center Aquatics on May 11, 2024. Disabled, Military Veterans, and Special Needs participants can enjoy a complimentary Discover SCUBA Experience (DSE) in the pool. Explore the sensation of breathing underwater and feeling weightless like an astronaut in space. Take part in a Discover SCUBA Dive to embrace the Empowering Spirit of Freedom dive, guided by trained Buddy Divers (HSA) from Adaptive SCUBA Programs. No prior experience is necessary for this lesson, which is a prerequisite for future ocean experiences. This initiative is sponsored by Memorial Rehab Institute and AQUANAUTS SCUBA ACADEMY. Veterans and Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to bring along family and friends at a discounted rate. For those who aren't veterans or individuals with disabilities but still want to experience SCUBA Diving, this opportunity can be scheduled through AQUANAUTS SCUBA ACADEMY.
