Welcome to the first Wickersley 10K event! Lace up your running shoes and get ready to hit the pavement, starting and finishing at Wickersley School & Sports College. What: Wickersley 10K run - the first event of its kind in the village! Where: Wickersley School & Sports College, Bawtry Road, Wickersley, Rotherham, South Yorkshire, S66 1JL When: Sunday 16th March, 2025 Who: This exciting event is open to 16+. We want to make this a community run, and encourage anyone to join! We'd love to make this a bit of a reunion - and welcome back former students and members of Wickersley Youth Junior Football Club and Wickersley Old Village Cricket Club - clubs close to our hearts. Why: Raising money for Sheffield Children's Hospital, in memory of Nick Walker. Event info: Timings: The event village will be open for registration from 8.30am with the start time 10am. Course details: This road based course will start from Wickersley School, making its way through the streets of Wickersley towards Brampton, and turning around again, in a closed road circuit. Tickets: Tickets are £25.00 + booking fee (which goes to Eventbrite) Fundraising: We hope that as many people as possible will choose to raise sponsorship money from family and friends for The Children's Hospital Charity. However there is no minimum requirement and if you wish to support a different charity, or none at all, you are still very welcome to join us. Join our team and start your fundraising by spreading the word and sharing your page with family, friends and colleagues! Please note - Your ticket registration fee helps to cover some of the event running costs. Parking: Limited parking will be available at the school, and parking spaces will be sold nearer the time. Please car share or use public transport where possible, plan your journey in advance, and be courteous to residents of the local village. More about The Children's Hospital Charity and Team Nick: Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust is a specialist children's hospital, providing the best possible care for children all over Yorkshire, the UK and beyond. The Children's Hospital Charity support the hospital by funding new facilities and building an environment with children in mind. The hospital treats every condition imaginable battling the most complex illnesses. Every day they make a difference, and you can too. Team Nick has been fundraising in memory of Nick Walker since 2009, and have raised more than £115,000, supporting the Children's Hospital Charity in Sheffield.

'Little Magic' - Exclusive Artist Talk & Painting WorkshopTo coincide with my debut solo exhibition: ‘Little Magic: Familiars, Fauna & Flora’, I will be hosting an exclusive exhibition talk and painting workshop to create your own little piece of magic! Join me as I share my inspiration behind the artworks, an insight into my creative process and a brief delve into my career as an illustrator, followed by a Q&A and a full gouache painting workshop. And of course, visit the 'Little Magic' exhibition itself too! About the Workshop To start I will share insights into my painting techniques from the collection and introduce the medium we will be working in. A beautiful but little known medium, learn how to use gouache paint, (used by iconic illustration artists new and old): a beautiful buttery mix somewhere between watercolour and acrylic, and create your own delicate miniature artwork in the style of my ‘Little Magic’ still life paintings! With step-by-step guidance you will learn how to create a delicate and vibrant still life painting using an object of your choice ( a selection of beautiful natural objects will be provided, or bring your own!), and how to choose the perfect complementary colour to make your painting pop. Learn tips on colour theory, painting techniques and materials and bring home your own miniature masterpiece. This will be a relaxed session is open to complete beginners (We promise!) as well as experienced artists looking for something new! The Knights Foundation is excited to be bringing another Knights Rugby Camp to the Home of the Knights, Castle Park during the upcoming Easter Holidays. These rugby camps will take on a familiar format to the traditional Knights camps and will bring together a perfect blend of experience and knowledge to focus on the key elements of rugby in a fun and safe environment. Additionally, there will be numerous team building, resilience, friendship building and enrichment segments across all days, delivered through a variety of fun games and activities. Former Knight, Kendo will be leading the programme alongside the community coaching team. Week 1 - Monday 31st March - Thursday 3rd April Week 2 - Monday 7th Apri - Thursday 10th April Times: 10am - 3pm Daily Ages: 7 - 14 Years old Lunch/Refreshments: Lunch is provided but you are more than welcome to provide your own lunch and snacks if you prefer. Please supply them with a refillable water bottle. Cost: FREE to children and families in receipt of free school meals or special educational needs. We also have a limited amount of places you can pay for those children not on free school meals, these are chargable at £12 per day. How many places do we have: We have limited places available at each camp so please book ASAP for the best chance to secure your child's place - Please complete a form for each child you want to book on.
