Bike Newport is delighted to present another unforgettable season of our Full Moon Rides Sponsored by AARP Rhode Island. The secret is out about these highly enjoyable group rides around the beautiful Ocean Drive, made all the more beautiful by colorful Newport sunsets and the glistening full moon glow on the water. Be sure to register while space remains, and we look forward to riding with you. We'll gather at Equality Park in downtown Newport, and once we get to King's Park our coastal route will bring us past scenic harbor, bay, and ocean views - lit first by the setting sun, and then by the rising moon. Join the event volunteer team at the Newport Marathon on Sunday, 28th April and become part of one of the biggest running events in Wales! No special skills are necessary - just a lot of enthusiasm! Whether you come alone, with friends or family, or as a group, there are various roles available on race day to suit everyone's preferences. You can give out bottled water at the water stations, which are located every 5km along the route. Alternatively, you can support the Runners Bag Drop area on Usk Way and engage in conversations with the runners before and after the race. If you prefer to be more involved along the route, you can be a Course Marshal, guiding and cheering on the runners. Another option is to help at the start and finish line on Usk Way, where you can cheer on the runners and distribute medals and t-shirts to the finishers. As a volunteer, you will receive an exclusive event t-shirt and bag, lunch and refreshments, Tempo Time Credits, and on-the-day support from a supervisor. Many of our volunteers have been with us for 10 years, so you will have the opportunity to meet wonderful people. Volunteering is not only a fun way to spend your day, but it also allows you to make friends, enhance your CV, and experience the electrifying atmosphere of race day. Join the Newport Bay Conservancy volunteers for an exhilarating naturalist-led bike ride through this picturesque location. Designed for moderately experienced riders, this unique adventure covers a distance of 10 miles in just 2 hours. The bike trails are smooth and paved, ensuring a comfortable journey filled with awe-inspiring interpretation breaks. The expedition commences at the Peter and Mary Muth Interpretive Center's parking lot and takes participants to the Back Bay Science Center, Jamboree Bridge, Big Canyon, and Vista Point before returning to the Muth Center. It is highly recommended to arrive 20-30 minutes before the start of the ride. To secure your spot, registration is mandatory for each ride.
