She has been teaching since 2007 after teacher training (and further studies) at Yoga Vidya Dham in India. Heather enjoys sharing the many aspects of yoga with her students and especially enjoys sharing her love of the practice of Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutations). She believes in practicing with devotion, incorporating mantras into the practice, focusing on the breath and body awareness. One of her favourite asanas is Ardha Matsyendrasana as it provides such a wonderful twist. Classes offered are beginner friendly. In addition to Yoga, Heather has studied basic Ayurveda in India as well as Reiki and is certified in Yoga Therapy and Thai Yoga Massage/Therapy. The St. Olaf Choir, conducted by Anton Armstrong will perform at Armerding Concert Hall at Wheaton College on Tuesday, February 11 at 7:30 p.m. during its 2025 National Tour.
