Exhibit & Sale July 27-August 10Sixth annual Plein Air event in vintage, picturesque Georgetown, Colorado, 45 minutes west of Denver at 8,500 ft elevation, in the Georgetown-Silver Plume National Landmark Historic District. A charming town of colorful Victorian buildings ringed by mountain views, Georgetown has long been a favorite of artists and the public. Artists will be out painting scenes from the Georgetown - Silver Plume Historic District 26-27 July. All artwork will go on display and on sale at our gallery opening the evening of 27 July! Plein Air events are open to the public and free to attend. Events include a quick-draw on 6th street, live music downtown during the afternoon and a reception and live music at The Old School in the evening. All artwork must be created outdoors on stamped canvas or other medium on July 25th or 26th within the defined area. Although not a juried entry process, only qualified plein air artists are eligible for the exhibition and prizes. Plein air artists must submit a resume including exhibits and shows and three (3) images of plein air paintings in jpg format, or a link to a website displaying their work in this genre.
