They were the 2024 Stuart Hall Fellow at University of Sussex. AYANA PLAYLE is a spoken word artist with a background in theatre and performance-making. Her poetry reflects the challenges and joys of navigating life in her twenties, blending humor and wordplay to explore themes of female friendship, the queer experience, climate injustice, and the nuances of simply just existing!! Each session uses best-in-class examples from screen and print to bring the theory to life, drive debate and ignite the creative spark.
