2025 KÎSIK Youth Wellness Breakfast | TCU Place
May 6, 2025 (UTC-6)ENDED
Saskatoon
Join us for the 2nd annual KISIK Youth Wellness Breakfast, where we will raise funds for summer camps and wellness programs that support at-risk youth! Our breakfast will feature presentations from camp staff and participants who will speak to the importance of the KISIK mission and how it is shaping the lives of youth in Saskatchewan. We will also be premiering our new video, which will transport attendees to our 2024 Canoe Lake Youth Wellness Camp! A continental breakfast will be provided.
About KISIK Youth Wellness
KISIK Youth Wellness is a Saskatoon-based nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk youth by inspiring and empowering them to achieve holistic well-being, physical fitness, and a thriving lifestyle. Through our Land-Based Wellness Camp, Educational Tours, and Motivational Speaking Events, we build bridges between the land and the city, create one-of-a-kind wilderness and life-skill learning opportunities, and teach youth how to overcome obstacles and realize their goals.
Why Support KISIK?
We know that the needs of at-risk youth are significant. Saskatchewan has one of the largest populations of youth who are not employed or in education and one of the highest police-reported youth crime rates in Canada. The Greater Saskatoon Catholic School board estimates that approximately 400 students qualify as at-risk. The Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre (Egadz) reports a drop-in rate of 30-50 at-risk youth per night.
Why We Need Your Support
KISIK relies on annual sponsorship donations to fund its various programs, cover organizing costs, and stay active in the community. On average, it costs $1,800-$2,000 per youth for KISIK to facilitate its Northern Land-Based Wellness Camp. Attendance for camps can run anywhere from 10-20 youth. Other camp-related costs include hiring guides and chaperones, renting cabins and boats, transportation, food supplies, and camp and fishing equipment.
Sponsorship Levels
We're offering a series of levels for sponsors based on sponsorship recognition. With each level, you will get a table at the breakfast event (each table seats 8), and your logo will be featured across all of KISIK's printed and digital materials for one year. Logo placements include on the breakfast event's slideshow and programs, our website, monthly email newsletter, social media, and camp t-shirts. Sponsorship levels are as follows:
KISIK Youth Wellness Change Maker Table - $1,500
KISIK Youth Wellness Champion Table - $2,500
KISIK Youth Wellness Leadership Table - $3,500
KISIK Youth Wellness Trailblazer Table - $5,000

From Afghanistan to Canada: the 300-Year Journey to the Age of AI
Come join us for an exciting event about Muqim Mehran's exciting journey at Amigos Cantina on May 7, 2025, at 5:00 PM in Saskatoon.
Mohammed Muqim Mehran emigrated to Canada in 2024 with the help of a number of concerned Canadians in the Saskatoon area. Muqim is a journalist and the deputy editor-in-chief at 8 AM news media. Born and raised as a teacher in Afghanistan, he successfully brought his family out of the country in the wake of the Taliban’s return to power in 2022. He brought his talents to journalism while in Pakistan and successfully made the move to Canada in 2024.
Muqim’s journey over land and sea is in lockstep with his journey through the five stages of human progress, moving from a rudimentary agricultural milieu to the world of the internet and artificial intelligence.
