May 30, 2025 (UTC-4)ENDED
Norcross
Cultural Experiences
Join Spinal Energetics Practitioners Jemelia Shotwell, founder of The Sacred Healing Well, and Jimmy, founder of Devine Energy Healing from Arizona, for a powerful group experience where movement, breath, and energy come together to support deep healing and transformation. This group session blends Spinal Energetics with Trauma-informed Breathwork , guiding you to release stored tension, awaken your energetic flow, and reconnect with your body’s innate wisdom to heal itself. Spinal Energetics is a practice that combines Eastern and Western thought, to interact with a person’s spine, nervous system and energetic field, to harness a person’s own innate wisdom to know and heal themselves. Through light yet powerful touch (and often no touch), an organic flow of movement and sound begins and progresses to shift, unwind, discover and release tension, resistance, and stories that may have been stored in the body. The movements and sounds are natural and primordial, they are a response to the treatment and are driven by an individual's energy, intuition and instinct. As movement, breath, and sound merge, you’ll have the opportunity to shift energy, open new pathways of awareness, and experience deep connection within yourself. Whether you're new to this work or have explored it before, this offering is open to all (ages 16+) who feel called to deepen their self-exploration. * Jimmy will also be teaching a 2 Day Reiki class on May 31st and June 1st at the Sacred Healing Well, for more details please send a message or email to thesacredhealingwell@jemeliashotwell.com See you soon! ABOUT BECKY ALBERTALLI…was born and raised in the Atlanta, GA suburbs. …has been writing stories since preschool. Generally about her pets. …is three years older than her sister and twelve years older than her brother. …is an extraordinarily picky eater. …really loves ice cream, though. And most desserts. …is Jewish, despite her Italian last name. …has attempted and spectacularly failed at almost every sport. …rocked t-shirts from the Nature Company basically every day of middle school. …actually did fail sex ed in sixth grade (the diagrams were slightly overwhelming). …wrote and directed a tragic play at age twelve with a plot that borrowed heavily from a Lurlene McDaniel novel. …read a whole lot of The Baby-Sitters Club and Sweet Valley High. …in all seriousness, wanted to be Mary Anne Spier, but was a total Mallory Pike. …was briefly but powerfully obsessed with anime in high school. …has dazzled audiences with moving portrayals of Townsperson, Lady in Waiting, Chorus, and Hairy Ishmaelite. …went to college in Connecticut and totally freaked out about all of the snow. …and her college friends once created their own likenesses on the Sims, and it was all fun until Sim Becky burned the Sim house down and then peed herself. …majored in psychology and avoided hard sciences whenever possible. …studied abroad at St. Andrews in Scotland, which had nothing to do with Prince William being there at the time. Nothing at all. …moved to Washington, D.C. after college and eventually earned a doctorate in clinical psychology. …met her husband playing kickball. ABOUT SIMON VS. THE HOMO SAPIENS AGENDACelebrate the ten-year anniversary of Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by #1 New York Times bestselling and Stonewall Honor–winning author Becky Albertalli with this stunning DELUXE LIMITED PAPERBACK EDITION, while supplies last. Sixteen-year-old and not-so-openly gay Simon Spier prefers to save his drama for the school musical. But when an email falls into the wrong hands, his secret is at risk of being thrust into the spotlight. Now Simon is actually being blackmailed: If he doesn’t play wingman for class clown Martin, his sexual identity will become everyone’s business. Worse, the privacy of Blue, the pen name of the boy he’s been emailing with, will be jeopardized. With some messy dynamics emerging in his once tight-knit group of friends and his email correspondence with Blue growing more flirtatious every day, Simon’s junior year has suddenly gotten all kinds of complicated. Now change-averse Simon has to find a way to step out of his comfort zone before he’s pushed out—without alienating his friends, compromising himself, or fumbling a shot at happiness with the most confusing, adorable guy he’s never met. This limited special edition includes gorgeous specs, making the package as beautiful as the read, and features new bonus content from Becky herself, including emails between Simon and Blue and Oreo recipes from Simon! ABOUT MATTHEW HUBBARDMatthew Hubbard writes the kind of stories he wished he’d had as a teen in rural Alabama. He grew up on a mountaintop farm and knows more than he is willing to admit about small towns. He studied English, marketing, and psychology in college and has spent a majority of his life speaking up to make a difference. When he isn’t writing, Matthew can be found on a hike in search of breathtaking views, reading as many books as he can get his hands on, and cheering for his favorite hockey team. He lives in Chattanooga with his husband, their dogs, Layla and Phillip, and Jay Gatsby the cat. He is the author of The Last Boyfriends Rules for Revenge, The Rebel's Guide to Pride, and the forthcoming Drop Dead Handsome from Delacorte Press / Penguin Random House. ABOUT THE REBEL'S GUIDE TO PRIDEWhen the mayor of a small Alabama town starts targeting Pride events, bad boy Zeke begins hosting a series of “Pride Speakeasies” in this joyful, queer coming-of-age romance! There’s nothing Zeke Chapman wants more than to tarnish the perfect reputation his father is so obsessed with. He quit the baseball team, started fighting at school, and nearly flunked junior year. Newly out as gay, Zeke isn’t sure where his queer identity fits in with his bad-boy persona. His father has always told him to stay quiet and not attract attention, but his friends are pushing him to be just as out and proud as they are. Most days, Zeke isn’t sure how to be a “good gay” or what that even means. When his best friend, Sawyer, begs him to help the QSA plan Pride Day, he obliges—mostly to piss his dad off. But then the mayor announces an ordinance that cancels all LGBTQ+ celebrations. Angered by the injustice—and his father’s support of it—Zeke decides to put his rebellious ways to good use and plans a series of underground “Pride Speakeasies.” As the speakeasies grow, and the community comes together to declare him “King of Pride,” Zeke finally feels like he’s doing something that matters. But friendship drama, a mysterious cyber-crush, and rising tension with his rival and ex Cohen “Coco” Fisher threaten to undermine his newfound pride. When his final party ends in near-disaster, Zeke must ask himself what he’s really trying to do. After all, there’s a reason that the first Pride was a riot.
