Welcome to the "Social Solvers" Community Coffee Meet up for Heart-led Businesses! Join us at Gastown Cafe for a morning of networking, collaboration, and inspiration. Connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact through their businesses. Share stories, exchange ideas, and support each other in our journey towards creating a better world. Whether you are a seasoned entrepreneur or just starting out, this event is the perfect opportunity to meet new friends, gain insights, and foster meaningful relationships. Here's what some of our regulars have to say about Social Solvers: A truly welcoming and supportive small group. A joy to find such a genuine group of individuals where schmoozing & networking is the furthest thing from people's minds. I think we all find it invaluable to voice and share our ideas out loud which have been forming quietly in our minds and welcome advice, ideas and of course share lots of laughter. It's a privilege to listen and learn about other people's businesses from photographers to accountants to hiking guides. Love the new positive focus that the group is taking & men are equally welcome too! - Rebecca Alexander Thistle & Wild Design The thing I love about Social Solvers is that the group is truly about forging community organically. There is no pitching, posturing or saying why you're the best. There is no excluding someone because that sector is already represented. Instead the group is inclusive and welcoming to all. And because the focus is on connection the conversations are honest, the wisdom shared is authentic and you come away feeling like a weight has been lifted because you have been able to share your journey as a heart-centered business in a safe space. - Laura Doherty Celebrant and Death Doula Tickets cost £15 and include a loaf slice and a Coffee. Plein Air Painting Workshop: Features of the Landscape | Tegg's Nose Country Park

Jun 26, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Macclesfield
Cultural Experiences
Join us for fun Plein Air painting workshops in 2025 at Tegg's Nose Country Park. In each workshop, experienced professional painters, Christopher Clements and Kieran Ingram, will help you capture a different aspect of landscape painting. Workshop price £85, reserve your place with a £25 deposit here on Eventbrite, the remainder will be invoiced before the course. In June’s workshop we’ll focus on painting the foreground and middle distance. This is often where much of the interest lies in a painting. It is also where the features of the landscape are seen most clearly. Getting the character and relationships of these features right is important as characters and relationships create stories. You’ll look at trees, walls, tracks and buildings and how to use them to create a journey through your work. You’ll also look at how to give them structure and what happens as they recede into the distance. We’ll cover: creating a journey through your painting scale and relationships simplification of detail All the Plein Air workshops we’re running this summer are based on the Tonalist approach which focuses on interpretation of the light & dark tones of the landscape, while simplifying the colours. The approach will help you to make sense of what you see. You’ll be able to organise it into a well-structured painting, evoking the simple beauty of your environment. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned painter, these workshops are perfect for anyone looking to improve their Plein Air painting skills. It’s a fantastic opportunity to get out of the studio and unleash your creativity in the great outdoors. You can book for one or all of the workshops, to fit your schedule.
