This group is organised by the local charity Hector’s House – and will be facilitated by our co-founder Robert and campaigns/events assistant Declan. Each month we will be doing a get-together – be it going for walks, having a kick-about, or trying out activities such as woodwork or foraging. We might even sneak a cuppa in at the end. Cultural Experiences
"If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of  energy, frequency and vibration ." - Nikola Tesla   Welcoming you to a brand new sound healing immersion in Berkhamsted - held by local musician and sound artist Molly-Anne Chinner. Sound bathing is a beautiful resting practice, designed to soothe you in mind, body and spirit.  It doesn't involve water (!) but you will be 'bathed' in a cocoon of pure and healing vibrations, guiding you to reach a greater sense of harmony. Sound healing can be helpful for relieving symptoms of many common ailments, mental health disorders and conditions - a sonic tonic of respite from our fast-paced world. You will be guided to create an intention with the beautiful heart medicine of Ceremonial Cacao* before being guided to settle down into rest in the gentle flicker of candlelight. We'll open with some gentle mindfulness meditation and relaxation. You'll then drift into a cosmic state of rest accompanied by the angelic chimes of premium crystal singing bowls, gongs, drums, selected digital frequencies and layered vocals.   "Molly's sound experiences are a portal to something higher. Her sound feels ancient yet fresh, delicate yet powerful. Her voice is like a whisper from the heart of the divine leading you into a place of deep healing and rest. These sound experiences are more akin to medicine journeys, you will be taken somewhere far beyond the ordinary. Not your average sound bath. Truly breathtaking! - Om Magazine At the end you'll be gently reawakened by the sound of cosmic chimes, leaving with a refreshed sense of energy and creativity.  There will be the opportunity for community sharing as we close. *Cacao is celebrated for its medicinal benefits in supporting heart health and circulation. Given its heart-opening qualities, Cacao beautifully complements meditation, yoga, dance, and therapy, enhancing our connection to the heart, with others and ourselves. When we connect with the heart’s energy our voice may speak from a place of deeper intelligence carrying vibrations of peace and harmony. We will use the highest quality ceremonial Cacao from fairly traded, indigenous communities in Guatemala and Ecuador to open the heart and begin to melt the walls down that we build up around ourselves. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking SSRI's, anti-psychotics or have any serious health conditions - including heart and autoimmune - please let us know beforehand. Useful Information (please read) Please bring with you a mat or blanket to lie on, something warm to wrap up in, an eye pillow and anything else you need to be comfortable. A bolster, blanket and mat are greatly recommended. We can accomodate for all ages, experience levels and accessibility. Chairs can be provided if lying on the floor is difficult or uncomfortable for you. Please let us know in advance if you have any extra accessibility or support needs. Children are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian, there is a concession price available for children under 16. Please arrive 10 minutes early to make sure you are settled in and ready to begin. Latecomers may not be granted entry because of disruption, so please leave plenty of time to arrive. If you are going to be late please let us know on 07495710203.  We are in the UPSTAIRS studio - when you arrive please come in the side door and up two flights of stairs to find us. Unfortunately we are not currently wheelchair accessible.   We look forward to seeing you there! :) Information Source: Molly Anne Chinner | eventbrite
