He has performed worldwide for almost 20 years, making him one of today's most sought-after and vibrant comics. Nominated for Best Male Comedian in Canada and for Best Male Performance. Jon also won the Just for Laughs in Ontario, Canada, which brought him to the Just For Laughs festival that year. Since then, he has performed at the Just for Laugh festival 5 times and appears on TV shows and in comedy festivals around the world. Guest Act - Laurie Elliot Laurie Elliott is a stand-up comic, Juno nominee, actor and television writer. She won the Tim Sims Encouragement Fund Award and is a four-time winner of Best Female Stand-Up at The Canadian Comedy Awards. Her stand-up credits include Montreal's Just For Laughs Festival (where the late, great Joan Rivers chose her to perform on her final Gala show), the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the Comedy Factory in Rotterdam, Raw Comedy Club in Stockholm, the SheDot Comedy Festival in Toronto, and a gala run at the Cape Town International Comedy Festival in South Africa. She has had recurring roles/appearances on MuchMusic’s Video on Trial, CBC's The Red Green Show (she married Harold!), The Jon Dore Television Show, Match Game and The Debaters. Laurie's voice can be heard on many animated series such as Total Drama Island, Scaredy Squirrel, and Camp Lakebottom. Laurie was also a regular on WWF star Chris Jericho's award-winning web series, But I'm Chris Jericho. MC - Jean Paul Savage wit and spontaneous combustion combine into an explosive comedic barrage. This cat is fearless. In terms of any act, he works without a net. He is so freewheeling, it's almost psychedelic. Co-host of Breakfast Television, the Trinidadian-born, Brooklyn-raised and currently a resident of Toronto, comedian Jean Paul has always had an innate sense of humour. Maybe it’s because of his curious nature; perhaps it’s because of his light-hearted view of life. Whatever the reason, Jean knew at an early age that a comedy career was right for him. Since then, Jean has travelled extensively across Canada, the U.S., the Caribbean, South Africa and the U.K., performing at legendary venues such as the Apollo in New York, the Comedy Store in London, and Place des Arts in Montreal. No stranger to the festival circuit, Jean has performed at Just For Laughs, Halifax and Winnipeg comedy Festivals and, among other credits has written for and toured with Russell Peters. Jean has also been nominated for several prestigious awards, including the Tim Sims Award for up-and-coming comedians, and a Gemini Award for Best Writing in a Comedy Series.
