We are pleased to annouce, after the success of our 2024 show, that our charity boxing event is back for 2025. We will be donating to @Mind.Org.UK to help to support and empower anyone experiencing mental health problems. Tickets for seating and standing to be purchased via eventbrite and Table tickets to be purchased directly through our pages @Gentlemenandroguesboxingclub or @Gentlemenandroguespromotions. Fights to be annouced soon. We are joined again by the wonderful Nicole Lawrence for a night of entertainment. Tables are inclusive of food platters and a drinks package. The 6th Annual Charnwood Cup is set to be a thrilling football tournament that brings together grassroots teams from across the region to compete for either a Cup or Medal. Teams will be placed into a group stage, and based off their final position will either compete for a Cup, Medal or be placed into a friendly fixture. Please note that academy players are not permitted to participate in the tournament. Come and learn how to observe and sketch the beauty of nature at Whisby Nature Park with Louise Earnshaw, a Lincolnshire based artist and Green Sketching Ambassador. With a degree in wildlife illustration and 20 years experience of teaching Art and Photography she now has her own business creating and selling artwork inspired by the natural world and teaching art based workshops. Louise will help participants to develop a wide range of techniques and skills using a variety of art materials to observe nature through art. The session will explore ways of recording the tiniest details through to scenes and landscapes. All participants will leave with their own sketchbook and the confidence to doodle and sketch in nature. She will outline the Green Sketching Art Movement that is helping to make the incredible benefits of sketching nature accessible to all ages and abilities. These include closer connection to nature, improved observation, focus and mental wellbeing. Suitable for: Adults, no art experience necessary. No dogs. What to bring: Outdoor clothing and footwear appropriate to theseason. Hot drinks available, bring your own snacks/lunch. Art materials: All specialist materials are provided and a mini sketchbook will be provided for you to take home and continue your sketching in nature skills.
