NoTanx offers weekly Freediving training sessions in Brighton pool. These sessions are specifically designed for NoTanx members, but are open to all skill levels, from beginners to world champions. The sessions take place at the Prince Regent Swimming Complex on Wednesday evenings. Participants meet at 8.30pm near the reception area for a dry warm-up session, followed by water training from 9pm to 10pm.
If you're interested in trying out Freediving, you can book a Newbie/try-out ticket for the session. Before attending, please complete the necessary forms, including the Come & Try Medical Statement and the NoTanx Liability Release & Assumption of Risk. If you need to borrow fins or a mask, please let us know in advance.

Our Freediving training focuses on 10 aspects that can be trained separately, with a total of 42 exercises covering all these aspects. Most sessions have a Yin (soft internal) approach, which emphasizes soft techniques, awareness, and efficiency. We also have Yang sessions (hard external) that focus on monofin technique and flexibility.

While some basic drawing materials will be available for free, we encourage you to bring your own. Easels, chairs, drawing boards, and tables are provided on a first come, first served basis.
