The Wednesday Night Skimo League is a ski mountaineering race series that provides a low-key and enjoyable racing environment for the community. Participants can expect a fun-filled evening of racing on Wednesday nights in January. Each race consists of skinning up a marked course and skiing back down. The league serves as a warm-up for the Whitefish Whiteout event in February.
To participate in the league, online pre-registration is mandatory. The registration fee for each race is $25. Racers must check in between 5:00pm and 5:45pm to receive their bib. It is important to be on time or to arrange for someone else to collect your bib. Participants under 18 years old must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver of liability.
The races take place at the Events Office, located at 3915 Big Mountain Road in Whitefish. The course starts and finishes at this location as well. LED lights and race gates mark the uphill and downhill sections of the course. Transition areas are designated with yellow flags and must be used. The courses are approximately 1-1.5 miles long with a vertical gain of 600-800 feet.
There are six categories for racers: 1 Lap Female, 2 Lap Female, 3 Lap Female, 1 Lap Male, 2 Lap Male, and 3 Lap Male. The cutoff time for the last lap is 7:15pm. Awards will be presented at The Bierstube at 8:00pm.
Transportation options include the SNOW Bus and shuttles within the village. Helmets are required for all participants. Results will be available at the Awards Ceremony and online. Refunds are available with 48 hours notice before the event.

Whitefish Mountain Resort presents the Whitefish January Jam - Terrain Park Rail Jam, an exciting event for all abilities. This year, the event has been updated to a rail jam competition, where riders will have the opportunity to showcase their skills on a set of features in the terrain park. Participants will be given a set amount of time to hit the features as many times as possible, and their runs will be judged based on the variety, difficulty, and style of their tricks.
The event will take place at Chair 3 / Whitefish Terrain Parks, with check-in located at the Events Office on Big Mountain Road. Online pre-registration is required, and the registration fee is $30 per participant. All participants must check-in to receive a bib and flagging tape.
There are multiple categories available for both skiers and snowboarders, including top class and amateur class divisions for males and females. The Grom Class is available for ages 8-12 only and will be held at Depot Park.
The schedule for the event is as follows: check-in closes at 7:00am, inspection for all competitors from 9:30am to 10:30am, competitor meeting at 11:15am, and the competition will take place from 11:30am to 3:00pm. Awards will be held at the Events Office at 3:30pm.

Join the Tommy Moe Kids Race League for an exciting alpine race competition designed specifically for kids ages 5-12. This low-key, beginner-level league offers a non-intimidating environment for young racers to experience the thrill of ski racing. The league consists of three races, all taking place on Sundays. Each race must be registered for individually.
The Tommy Moe Kids’ League is all about creating a fun and supportive atmosphere for young athletes. To ensure a level playing field, we have a few guidelines in place. We do not allow the use of speed suits and instead use stubby gates for a more accessible experience. Parents are encouraged to cheer on their favorite racers from the sidelines.
Participants must be 5 years old before they can join the Tommy Moe Race League. If a racer has received any coaching or instruction, they will compete in a separate division from those who have not.
The Tommy Moe calendar includes three exciting races: Giant Slalom on January 28th, Giant Slalom on February 18th, and Dual Giant Slalom and Costume Race on February 25th. The competition kicks off at 10:30am, and awards will be presented at 1:30pm.
