Lunch stations will be available on the course from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. The day will conclude with an Awards Ceremony and Reception at 3 pm. The format for the event will consist of four amateurs paired with a Cal Poly Mustang Golfer or Alumni. Join us at the presentation of the new audio fiction series, "Ui, si aixequés el cap", which brings to life illustrious figures from Empordà in the 21st century. Have you ever wondered what Josep Pla would say if he could see how Empordà has changed since he described it? Would Salvador Dalí still be as influential in the age of influencers? And would Llucieta Canyà still be such a feminist if she were resurrected in the 21st century and saw that feminism is associated with left-wing politics? What would Francesc Cambó think if he returned to his hometown of Verges and saw a young woman, a member of CUP, governing there? How would Pere Coll Rigau react if he walked through the rice fields he helped restore? Would Víctor Català still write under a male pseudonym if she were alive today? All these questions are answered in "Ui, si aixequés el cap...", the new podcast project from Ràdio Capital de l'Empordà. This audio fiction series "brings back to life" six illustrious figures to reclaim their historical value and origin while introducing their lives, works, and thoughts to younger generations. The writer of the scripts, Adrià Pujol Cruells, combines his ability to write with irony and the language of Empordà with a deep understanding of each character. Each episode lasts just over half an hour and always begins with the character Virgili, an embodiment of the spirit of Empordà, guiding the protagonist in their return to life.
