This highly anticipated celebration is a part of our First Friday: A Night of Poetry series, but this time it's taking place on a third Friday. Prepare to be captivated by the mesmerizing performances of both local and nationally renowned poets, including Chyna Roberts, the esteemed poet laureate of Lenoir County. We are excited to announce that, for the first time ever, an open mic session will be offered, providing an opportunity for new voices to be heard. If you wish to participate in the open mic session, sign up in advance by contacting AfroBetty, the event host. Alternatively, you can register on the day of the event, although availability is limited and on a first come, first served basis.
