The Activator Award serves as the initial step for individuals seeking greater involvement in club-based golf coaching and local community sports activities. This training course aims to provide participants with the necessary knowledge, tools, and confidence to support and implement golf activities while enhancing the sports and social environment. The course covers essential topics like understanding the roles of an Activator, creating a welcoming environment, delivering Learn to Golf activities, and emphasizing SafeGolf practices. Prior to deployment, Activators must complete the Child Wellbeing & Protection in Sport (CWPS) course and be a member of the PVG scheme through their golf club. The program targets parents, older juniors, existing volunteers, and club members interested in promoting golf activities within their clubs. No extensive golf knowledge or experience is required, just a willingness to assist at the club. The two-hour course blends theoretical and practical learning, delivered by experienced tutors in an interactive and reflective setting. Please dress appropriately for the practical segment. Open to individuals aged 16 and above.
