Join Carley for an empowering session of Adapted Strength Training. This class focuses on building light strength, enhancing coordination, and improving gross motor skills. Carley utilizes various props such as bands, weighted sandbags, and partner exercises to effectively strengthen muscles. Participants can expect ample time to practice each movement or exercise, with slow transitions between them. Breaks can be taken at any time to ensure comfort and safety. This inclusive event is suitable for participants aged 12 and above, and caregivers are required for those under 18. 

The mission of Open Up is to teach mindfulness tools through movement practices and interactive arts, with a special focus on centering individuals living with disabilities. The organization values being open, nurturing growth, and cultivating joy. In order to create a safe and welcoming environment, all staff and participants are required to practice community agreements. These agreements include treating each other with care, kindness, dignity, and respect. Additionally, participants are encouraged to embrace their identities and differences as gifts, fostering understanding and growth for everyone. Openness to learning and experiencing things in new ways, as well as finding joy for oneself and others, are also integral to the community agreements.
