Artful Moments: Abstract is a monthly program specially designed for individuals in the early stage of dementia and their caregivers. This program, held at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art in Fort Worth, provides a unique opportunity to connect with artworks in a social setting. By exploring different themes and engaging in conversations inspired by artists and artworks in the collection, participants can enjoy a meaningful and enriching experience. In addition to these discussions, there will be hands-on activities, allowing visitors to further engage with the art. Sharing stories and experiences will also be encouraged, fostering a sense of community and understanding among attendees. The program is completely free, but reservations are required. Registration will open on September 1, and it is highly recommended to secure a spot in advance. For those in need of American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation, please make an advance request.
