"Auswege" is an upcoming theater project in Berlin that aims to celebrate the upcoming anniversaries of renowned author Franz Kafka (his 140th birthday in 2023 and 100th death anniversary in 2024). This unique project, titled "Auswege," seeks to contribute to a rediscovery of Kafka's work in the theater. The production is inspired by two distinct texts: "Bericht für eine Akademie" from 1917 and "Der Storch im Zimmer." 

The performance aims to engage with Kafka's texts, spaces, and characters, inviting the audience to contemplate their meaning. What makes these texts particularly intriguing is their creation during a time of unrest and crisis, similar to our own era, marked by war, pandemics, and technological advancements such as the emergence of film.

With a playful approach and a connection to subcultures, like circus and rock music, the production aims to alleviate the heaviness often associated with Kafka's interpretations. By highlighting Kafka's own affinity for "subcultural" forms such as circus, variety shows, sideshows, and early cinema, the production seeks to showcase his work in a new light.

Berlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom) is a famous Protestant church in Berlin, the capital of Germany. It is located on the Museum Island in the center of the city, next to the Spree River. This magnificent church is not only the religious center of Berlin, but also an important landmark and tourist attraction of the city.
⛪️The history of Berlin Cathedral dates back to the 15th century, when there was a smaller church on the same site. The existing cathedral was built from 1894 to 1905 under the order of German Emperor Wilhelm II to serve as the court church of the Hohenzollern family. The original church was demolished at the end of the 19th century to make way for a new and more magnificent church.
⛪️Berlin Cathedral adopts Renaissance and Baroque styles and was designed by architect Julius Raschdorff. Its gorgeous appearance and exquisite interior decoration reflect the characteristics of neo-Baroque architecture. The church is 98 meters high, and its green dome is an important part of the Berlin skyline.
⛪️During World War II, the Berlin Cathedral was severely damaged, especially an air raid in 1944 that caused part of the church&#39;s dome to collapse. After the war, the restoration of the church lasted for decades and was finally completed in 1993.
⛪️The interior of the church is richly decorated with many exquisite sculptures, paintings and mosaics. The altarpiece and the pulpit on the central altar are particularly eye-catching.
⛪️The Berlin Cathedral has an organ built by Wilhelm Sauer, which is one of the largest and most important historical organs in the world.
Visitors can climb 270 steps to the observation deck on the church&#39;s dome, from which they can overlook the magnificent view of the center of Berlin.

We had a great experience at the Berliner Fernsehturm! The view from the top is absolutely stunning, offering a panoramic look over Berlin. We went early in the morning to avoid the queues, which made the visit even more enjoyable. If you want to make the most of your time and skip long waiting times, we definitely recommend going early. A must-visit for great city views!
