Concord locals are invited to attend a special event featuring author Barb Higgins as she presents her new memoir, Motherland, alongside co-writer Virginia Macgregor. Barb's journey of love, hope, and resilience began after the devastating loss of her 13-year-old daughter, Molly Banzhoff, to an undetected brain tumor in 2016. In March 2021, at the age of 57, Barb made headlines as one of the oldest people in the country to give birth. This event is a celebration of Molly, baby Jack, and Barb's remarkable story.
The event will take place at Gibson's Bookstore, located at 45 South Main Street, Concord, NH 03301. It is scheduled for October 24, 2023. Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to wear pink or their Halloween accessories in honor of Molly, who loved Halloween, dressing up, performing, and all things pink.
