Delve into the inner workings of the world as Bangladeshi artist Ayesha Sultana beings her first comprehensive solo exhibition Fragility and Resilience to Alserkal Avenue from 6 September-7 December. This exploration of the balance between the vulnerability and strength of our planet highlights social, ecological and personal upheavals that test the limits of sustainability. The exhibition features a diverse array of artworks spanning oil paintings, watercolours on Japanese silk tissue, works on clay-coated paper, photographic explorations and the first-ever unveiling of her hand-blown glass sculptures. Art lovers can also get a rare glimpse into the artist’s creative process with her sketchbooks, diaries, in-progress artworks and an unfinished video.
