The Balance Bike Course is perfect for children aged 2.5-4 who are ready to begin their biking journey. This course, consisting of four 45-minute sessions, is specifically designed to introduce and develop the basic movement patterns, dynamic balance, and gross motor skills necessary for riding a bike. Through a series of engaging activities and games, children will gain the confidence to glide on a balance bike without their feet touching the ground. The course covers essential riding skills such as mounting and dismounting the bike, maneuvering, controlling, and stopping. All sessions will be held outdoors on the playground at Sewell Park Academy in Norwich. The dates for the course are as follows: Saturday 27th January, Saturday 3rd February, Saturday 10th February, and Saturday 17th February. Each session will take place from 1.00-1.45pm. It is important for participants to attend all four sessions. If your child already has their own balance bike and helmet, they are welcome to bring them along. However, if you don't have your own equipment, they can be borrowed. Suitable clothing and footwear for the weather conditions are recommended. Additionally, all participants are required to wear a suitable bike helmet throughout the course. Full refunds are available up to 7 days prior to the start of the course, and if a session needs to be canceled due to adverse weather or instructor illness, an additional session will be added at the end.
