Join Brenden Bohannon, a renowned full-time blacksmith and bladesmith from Johnson City, Tennessee, for a unique opportunity to learn the art of blacksmithing and forge your very own small knife. This beginner bladesmithing class is a required pre-requisite for advanced classes to come. 

Throughout the class, you will delve into the fascinating history of blacksmithing, gain insights into tooling techniques, and grasp other essential concepts. Under Brenden's expert guidance, you will learn the process of forging a small, all-steel knife with a simple yet elegant design. Once the forging is complete, you will have the chance to heat treat your knife and skillfully grind it to a sharp edge. 

At the end of the class, you will be able to take your finished knife home, where you can complete the final tempering process in a home oven. This class is suitable for individuals aged 16 and above. For participants under 18, please ensure that a guardian accompanies them. 

To make the most of your experience, we recommend wearing cotton or non-synthetic clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, along with full-length pants and close-toed shoes.
