Located in Sugar Grove, a village in the Midwest region of the United States, Berne Union High School boasts a rich musical history dating back to 1930. Supported by the tight-knit community of Sugar Grove, the school's orchestra program offers a comprehensive musical education starting from fifth grade, featuring elementary and high school orchestras, a marching band, jazz ensemble, and percussion group. With approximately 150 students enrolled, comprising a quarter of the student body, the orchestra program stages nearly 50 performances annually. Under the guidance of Director JD Latorre, the Berne Union Band has achieved great success, clinching numerous top awards in Ohio and across North America. It is magnificent and splendid. Today I only visited the large indoor suite part because it was too sunny and hot outside, so I gave up. However, if the weather was cooler, I would probably spend half a day to have a good look around!
