Our foraging workshop will take you right into the heart of nature, where you'll learn about the abundance of the environment around you. Led by our foraging instructor who is also a herbalist and nutritionist, you'll learn to identify, harvest, and prepare a variety of wild plants. Immerse yourself in the beauty and wonder of the great outdoors and be ready for a day filled with new information. This workshop is a beginner level and we will not be covering fungi. This event is for educational purposes only and we will not be engaging in the act of foraging. Your ticket will include: 60-90 minutes of instruction and a PDF of the information discussed at the workshop and packaged herbal tea to take home.

Standing on the top of the park, you can see Bennaby city center and the mountains in the distance, and you can also see downtown Vancouver, Stanley Park and Lion Gate Bridge. The park is rich in vegetation, strolling through the forest paths, and you can smell the fresh pine forest. The park is famous for the Japanese sculptor Nuburi Toko and his son&#39;s creation of Kamui Mintara sculptures, symbolizing the harmony of human, animal, nature and God. The sculpture group consists of 29 hand-carved log pillars, engraved with animal images such as brown bears, owls, salmon and orcas.

If you are looking for a good place to relax around Vancouver, Deer Lake Park in Burnaby is definitely worth a visit! It is like a paradise in the city, with beautiful lakes and mountains.
There is a flat wooden boardwalk around the lake, which is perfect for walking, jogging, or enjoying nature with children and pets. The lake is sparkling, seagulls and mallards are playing in the water, and snow-capped mountains are looming in the distance. The park is free, the lawn is suitable for picnics, and kayaks can be rented on the lake. In spring, flowers are in full bloom, rhododendrons are particularly romantic, and outdoor concerts in summer are even more lively. Especially in autumn, Deer Lake is even more beautiful, and it is a great place to enjoy maple leaves around Vancouver. Parking at Deer Lake is also very convenient, highly recommended!
