Milanese gallery A arte Invernizzi presents a solo exhibition of Carlo Chiusi (1930-2012), entitled "A Dance of Trajectory and Color", curated by Lorenzo Madaro and featuring works from 1983 to 1990, confirming Chiusi's important place in the history of Italian art in the second half of the 20th century. The exhibition focuses on about twenty medium-to-large-scale paintings and works on paper, showing Chiusi's transition from geometric abstraction to a more open and casual practice. The sinuous forms and symbols in the works emerge from the heavy texture of the canvas, forming an ever-changing dance of trajectory and color. In particular, the titles of the works are composed only of Roman numerals, highlighting the spirit of non-figurativeness and continuous exploration. The works from this period reveal a new stage in Chiusi's sensuality and control. The exhibition is accompanied by a bilingual catalogue compiled by Lorenzo Madaro, which includes reproductions of the works and an updated biographical section.

The Milan Cathedral is so shocking! The Gothic minarets are directly inserted into the clouds, and the exterior walls are beautifully carved like lace. The panoramic view is superb, and the interior color windows are beautiful. There are many people in line but it is worth it. Remember to buy tickets in advance. The only downside is that the vendors outside are a bit annoying, but it is definitely a must-check in Milan!

Cathedral Square

Milan Cathedral Square is the heart of the city, the Gothic church is spectacular and shocking, and the details are exquisite like artwork! The surrounding area is very lively and suitable for taking pictures, but the tourists are slightly crowded. Pigeons are not afraid of people and add a little fun. The subway is super convenient, but be careful to peddle hawkers. The overall atmosphere is great, free and open, must visit Milan!
