The Friends of Kings Gap proudly present the Kings Gap Highland Games as part of the Summer Celtic Celebration. This exciting event will take place at the Kings Gap State Park in Carlisle on 3 September 2023. Mark your calendars!

Attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to train with the esteemed Highland Games Academy from Gettysburg. Starting at 7:30 AM, the Academy will provide training sessions for the Caber Toss, Weight for Distance, and Stone Put. Based on their performance during the training session, eight competitors will be selected to compete in each discipline. It's worth noting that at least two female participants will compete in every event, ensuring a fair and inclusive competition.

The Kings Gap Highland Games offer a unique summer training and competition platform for high school track and field throwers, offering them a chance to enhance their skills in a whole new way. However, this event is not limited to athletes. People of all ages can join the training session, challenging themselves in extraordinary feats of strength and becoming part of the elite Caber Club. The sense of accomplishment achieved by mastering the daunting caber toss or putting your first stone is truly remarkable and will boost your self-confidence.

This place is famous. If you are from the south, I suggest you go and see it. After all, it is a world of ice. Take a special snow car. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the glacier. It is sunny and windy on the glacier. Wear more clothes. The service area under the glacier is very good. There are food and drinks. You can see the distant view of the glacier while drinking coffee. It is very comfortable. There are also tourist commodities.
