Clay Open Studio - 2023 is an exciting opportunity for returning clay students to explore their creativity and hone their skills. Taking place on September 16, 2023, at the Bailey Contemporary Arts Center in Pompano Beach, this event offers a communal space for aspiring clay artists to work on personal projects with supervision. Participants can choose between hand building, with six available seats, or wheel throwing, with four seats. 

It's important to note that Clay Open Studio is not a class or a workshop. Rather, it's a chance for individuals who have taken two or more clay classes or have proven experience to practice their techniques and unleash their artistic vision. The program provides all the necessary tools, glaze, and firing, allowing participants to fully immerse themselves in their clay creations.

Led by renowned instructor Kim Ferguson, whose work is influenced by her Jamaican upbringing and immigrant experience in South Florida, Clay Open Studio encourages an atmosphere of eternal optimism and self-expression. Kim's sculptural and functional ceramic pieces are described as whimsical, vibrant, and feminine, reflecting her unique artistic perspective.
