Experience the captivating fusion of art, poetry, and classical music at the CODA Classique 2023-2024 concert series. Taking place at CODA Museum in Apeldoorn, these concerts promise to be an inspiring and surprising exploration of the connection between different art forms. Under the artistic direction of Emile Engel, soloists and ensembles will showcase their talents on Thursdays in November, December, January, and February.

The series kicks off on November 23, 2023, with the Calefax Reed Quintet drawing inspiration from the Craft! Now exhibition and the beauty of musical craftsmanship. On December 21, the Simeonkwartet will intertwine Canto Ostinato with the philosophical background in the work of Marjolijn van den Assem. In January, pianists Jacobus den Herder and Cathelijne Maat will be inspired by the work of four poets as a prelude to the Week of Poetry. Finally, on February 29, Trio Vincent Lesage will close the series with pieces by Vaughan Williams and Beethoven, linked to poems by Walt Whitman, Walter Scott, and Fredegond Cecily Shove.

Each concert begins with a guided tour of the exhibition, offering a unique and immersive experience. You can attend individual concerts for €20 (with CODA pass) or €22.50 (without CODA pass). Alternatively, a discounted pass for the entire series is available for €60 (with CODA pass) or €70 (without CODA pass).
