Age: 4+ Date: Saturday June 28, 2025 Time: 10:00 - 11:30 AM Cost: Adults $25 and Child/Youth $12 (ages 4-17) Instructor: Nicole Levaque This workshop invites families to combine their creative energies to hand-build clay vessels using pinch and coil techniques. Under the guidance of artist and educator Nicole Levaque, participants will learn how to create organic forms inspired by nature to create a distinctive vessel to be fired and glazed as a lasting memento of your experience.  This intergenerational workshop is open to adults accompanied by child and youth participants ages 4 and up. Children attending this workshop must be accompanied by at least one adult.  About the Instructor: Nicole Levaque is an artist and art educator based in Hamilton and works through ceramics and sculptural installations to address hierarchies of consumption, chronic pain and her emotional attachment to objects. Her process is rooted in embracing failure through the trial and errors of making and accumulation. She casts ready-made objects and hand builds ceramics from these scenes for its familiarity rooted in touch, evoking queer tableaus of domesticity and excess.  Levaque holds an MFA in sculpture and extended media from Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, Virginia), a BFA in Painting from Concordia University (Montreal, Quebec), and currently works and teaches out of her Sherman Ave. North studio.   ART SUPPLIES: All materials for this workshop are included in the registration fee.
