The Design Outside the Box workshop (day 1) is a relaxing design event in Edinburgh that aims to inspire designers to connect with nature and incorporate it into their creative process. This workshop is open to all designers and design enthusiasts who are interested in exploring nature's influence on design. The best part is, it's completely free to attend! You can come and go as you please throughout the day, making it a flexible experience for everyone. The workshop will take place over two weekends, offering four different dates to choose from. If you prefer another date, please check the home page for availability. At the workshop, you will be given the DOTB manifesto and various design briefs that encourage you to use your surroundings as inspiration. Basic tools such as paper, pens, and scissors will be provided. Before you leave, you will be asked to complete a mandatory brief, where you'll create your own manifesto for designing in nature. This workshop aims to provide a stress-free break from your daily design routine and spark new ideas by incorporating nature into your creative process.
