The Drawing and Painting Camp for children aged 8-10, instructed by Kathy Riley, offers a unique opportunity to explore artistic techniques. Participants will delve into the fundamentals of art, covering composition, light and shadow, and perspective. The camp also delves into the concept of true perception versus assumed perception. Engaging in creative thinking activities will spark fresh ideas and concepts for personal artwork. Real-life drawing sessions will segue into lessons on color blending (basic color theory), project planning, and the completion of a small painting project to be proudly displayed by the end of the week. The camp runs from June 3 to June 6, between 9 am and noon, at the pARTiculars Art Gallery and Teaching Studio in Lafayette.
