Join the Express Yourself! Textured Abstract and Mixed Media Acrylic Painting event in Santa Rosa on March 10, 2024. This event offers the opportunity to cultivate a space where art enthusiasts can meet and create together. Guided experiments will be conducted, allowing participants to pour, glue, cut, brush, blend, and smooth various mixed media materials. Each session will focus on a specific theme, with demonstrations provided. Techniques in working with acrylic mediums, glazing, and creating texture using rice paper, lace, fabric, sand, and more will be demonstrated. Additionally, alternative media like acrylic ink, pastels, and pencils will be provided on a rotating basis. Whether you're an experienced painter or haven't painted in months or years, this event provides the perfect environment to reignite your passion for art. No need to worry about setting up a home studio or purchasing materials, as all materials will be provided. Amanda Rose, a fellow painter, will be there to teach techniques and provide inspiration through books and images of art.
