Join us for the November entry in our monthly Faculty/Student Reading Series at Milkweed Books in Minneapolis. This event will feature MFA candidate Natalie Dalea reading alongside Kim Todd, the acclaimed author of Sensational: The Hidden History of America's “Girl Stunt Reporters”. This engaging reading offers a unique opportunity for emerging local writers to connect with an established writer from the University of Minnesota's Creative Writing MFA Program. Natalie Dalea, a midwestern mestiza artist, is currently pursuing an MFA in creative nonfiction at the University of Minnesota. Her writing focuses on healing family wounds and explores themes of feminism, faith, and forgiveness. Her work has been featured in The Offing, Pidgeonholes, Between Cities, and MN Artists, as well as in journalism pieces for WBEZ, The Chicago Reader, and The Portalist. 

Kim Todd, a member of the MFA faculty at the University of Minnesota, is the author of several award-winning books, including Sensational: The Hidden History of America's “Girl Stunt Reporters”, Chrysalis: Maria Sibylla Merian and the Secrets of Metamorphosis, and Tinkering with Eden: A Natural History of Exotic Species in America. Her essays and articles have been published in prestigious publications such as Smithsonian, Salon, Sierra Magazine, Orion, and Best American Science and Nature Writing anthologies.
