Renowned YA author Faridah Abike-Iyimide will be visiting Salt Lake City to present and sign her latest young adult novel, Where Sleeping Girls Lie. The event will be held at The King's English Bookshop on March 24, 2024. Joining her for a discussion will be local YA writer Tricia Levenseller. Attendance is open to the public, but registration is required for this complimentary event. Copies of the book will be on sale during the event, or you can pre-order a signed copy for pickup by contacting the store at 801-484-9100 or through online ordering. Utah State Capitol

The Utah State Capitol is also a place worth visiting. The Capitol Building is quite large and is the most important administrative seat of the Utah state government. Many of the designs in the building are quite interesting. You can apply to visit here, but it is quite difficult.

This Is The Place Heritage Park

This was our first stop when we arrived in Salt Lake City. We have friends who have lived in this area for many years. This is where the first Mormon settlers arrived. There are many monuments describing this history, and there is also a visitor center with a short film about this history.

Salt Lake City Tabernacle

The Great Chapel is also a huge gathering place. It is located near the Temple of the Demon Sect. The chapel here is also a favorite gathering place for local Americans. The decoration and design inside the chapel are very distinctive. I like some of the styles here very much.
