The Foul Shot Trot is an exciting 5k race that combines the thrill of running with the skill of making a free-throw. This fun-filled event takes place at Montgomery County High School in Mount Sterling, Kentucky on November 4, 2023. Participants will race through a moderate course while attempting to make basketball free throws at designated stops along the way. It's a unique and enjoyable experience that tests both endurance and accuracy, making it a favorite among sports enthusiasts and runners alike.

While the Foul Shot Trot is not officially timed, you will have the opportunity to log your personal time using our digital timer at the start/finish line. Additionally, for every successful free-throw you make, 15 seconds will be deducted from your final time. So lace up your running shoes, put on your basketball-themed jersey or shirt (perhaps representing the Montgomery County Indians), and get ready to have a blast at this one-of-a-kind event.

Fueling and hydration stations will be available along the route to keep you energized and hydrated throughout the race.
