They are inspired by the uncontrollable elements of working outdoors and the unique moments in time that each season and location bring.

Knight's recent Mawddach Residency in 2023 allowed her to fully immerse herself in the natural landscape of Eryri, resulting in captivating artwork that captures the passing of time. Oestreicher's Sussex landscapes, on the other hand, convey a sense of narrative and familiarity. With subtle hints of human presence, such as a crooked fencepost or a shadowed barn, her paintings transport viewers to a world where they can almost feel the cold winter wind rushing across the hillside.
