Join the FREE self-defence class at South Wimbledon Shorinji Kempo Dojo, located at St John's parish hall in Wimbledon, South West London. This special class will take place on Monday evenings from 7:30pm until 9:30pm. Open to teenagers and adults of all ages, genders, and fitness levels, this engaging class offers an opportunity to have fun, get fit, and learn effective self-defence techniques.

In this completely free class, participants will learn simple strikes, kicks, punches, and grapple defences. Additionally, they will discover the benefits of mindfulness and philosophy exercises. The aim is to equip attendees with essential self-defence skills while introducing them to the dynamic martial art of Shorinji Kempo. Upon completion, participants are welcome to join regular classes if they desire.

The class is structured into various sections, including a thorough warm-up and stretching, reinforcement of basics, meditation, philosophy, and learning new techniques. The duration of the class is two hours, with regular breaks for hydration. Participants are advised to wear comfortable sportswear or loose clothing. No special equipment is required, and mineral water will be provided. Bringing a friend along can also be helpful.

Shorinji Kempo is a Japanese martial art with roots in India and China. Aside from effective self-defence, it promotes a healthy mind and body through regular exercise, meditation, and philosophy. The Dojo is conveniently situated near South Wimbledon Tube station, making it easily accessible. I was shivering in the cold and queued for 40 minutes. I spent all the money I saved by booking tickets online on hot cocoa. My feet were numb when the glass cabin rose to the middle of the air - the Thames River was twisted into a tinfoil ribbon, and Big Ben was as small as a Lego block. The night view was really amazing. When the purple ring lit up, the whole river looked like it was splashed with fluorescent paint. When I landed, my legs were weak. I looked back and saw the purple ring that had collapsed into a rag. I thought: It was worth it, but I will buy a fast ticket next time.

Windsor Castle is a place worth punching in. Walk into the ancient castle to witness the history of the Royal British History. If you are tired, you can sit in the coffee shop in the castle. Aftertaste the luxurious buildings in the palace, wait after 3 pm. Take a few blockbusters when the light is good. You can also see the sentry changing in Windsor Castle.
