North American violinist and songwriter, Gaelynn Lea, is returning to Wales for the time since 2017 in order to support her latest concept album, Music from Macbeth. She will be performing at Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff on May 2025 with the supporting act Rightkeysonly.
Since winning NPR Music's Tiny Desk Competition in 2016, Gaelynn Lea has captivated audiences around the world with her charming original songs and traditional fiddle tunes. Over the years, she has collaborated with artists such as Michael Stipe , The Decemberists, and the industrial rock supergroup Pigface.
In 2022, Gaelynn Lea composed the original score for Macbeth on Broadway, starring Daniel Craig and Ruth Negga. Thanks to the recent Whippoorwill Arts Fellowship, her soundtrack is finally being released and she will be performing selections from the soundtrack during her UK concert tour.
One of Gaelynn Lea's biggest interests is promoting Disability Culture. He co-founded RAMPD  in 2022 and has since connected with Deaf and disabled artists worldwide, including Ruth Lyons and James Holt in the UK. An amazing castle and visiting the grounds was a treat. Full of history and going through the surroundings, it wasn&#39;t repetitive and not boring at all. I absolutely loved it and it&#39;s was very interesting. I love the Arab Room and the war shelters.
Reasonable priced tickets compared to the Royal castle prices.
I highly recommend this visit for all ages.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
I love Cardiff. It&#39;s so refreshing compared to London.

Pleasant enough way to spend a couple of hours. Went primarily to see the paintings but (and of course this is entirely a matter of personal taste) there wasnt a lot to rock my boat and not a lot of range. Some of the pottery was quite interesting but could have been better displayed. The natural history section on the ground floor was rather more interesting than expected- not too &quot;dry&quot;

Cardiff Bay is very easy to go.  It is very closed to Cardiff Central Station.  You can take the bus or walk 30 mins from central station.  It is free to visit, of course, and the scenary there is fantastic.  You can spend a few hours there, no doubt.  Take lots of pictures there.  There are a lot of shops and restaurant and coffee shop there.  So once you are tired, you can grab a coffee there, by sitting next to the seashore, enjoying the coffee and the sea at the same time.  Different kinds of pubs and restaurant there, from high class to family restaurant.  There are also a few historical buildings there, and there is a modern exhibition center there.  The design of its outlook is so high tech, you definitely will fall in love with it.
