Join CPAWS Manitoba for a group hike on the Sagimay Trail through Assiniboine Forest at 11 am. This event is a great opportunity to explore Manitoba's beautiful parks and get closer to nature. The trail is located in Winnipeg, at the crossroads of Grant Avenue and Chalfont Road. To reach the trail, simply head down the main trail off the parking lot into the forest. The hike is approximately 2.8 km long and should take about an hour to complete. Along the way, you'll have the chance to enjoy the serene beauty of the forest, including the Eve Werier Memorial Pond and a wetlands area. This event is being offered in partnership with Sports en Français, contributing to the development of Manitoba's Francophone community. While French language skills are not required, Francophones and Francophiles are welcome to join. You can bring snacks and water to keep your energy up during the hike. It's also a good idea to pack any necessary medication and basic first-aid supplies. Please note that this is a casual and light-hearted event, focused on enjoying nature and friendly conversation.
