MCCS Henderson Hall Semper Fit is pleased to announce that the highly anticipated 2023 Turkey Trot 5k will be held at the prestigious Cpl Terry L. Smith Gym in Arlington. This exciting event, part of the OOHRAH Run Series hosted by MCCS Semper Fit, will take place at Joint Base Myer - Henderson Hall. Runners will have the opportunity to explore the stunning sights of the base as they make their way through the course, which starts across from Terry L. Smith Gym and concludes with a memorable Post Race Awards Ceremony back at the gym. 

Participants in the 2023 Turkey Trot 5k will not only have a chance to showcase their running skills, but also receive a commemorative race T-shirt, available for the first 100 participants. Top performers in the Male/Female division will be awarded a medal and other exciting prizes, while winners in the Youth division (13 and under) will receive a trophy. 

On the day of the race, on-site registration will be open from 05:30 to 06:45 am, ensuring that everyone has a chance to participate. The event is open to all Department of Defense ID card holders with access to Joint Base Myer - Henderson Hall, including Active Duty, Retirees, Civilians, and Dependents. Youth runners are more than welcome to join, but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the race. 

Ample parking options are available, including the lot in front of Smith Gym (Bldg. 27) and the flood lot located behind Zembiec Pool (Bldg. 11) on Henderson Hall. Feel free to bring your phone, ID, and jacket to the event, but please note that there is no bag check and Semper Fit and MCCS are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
