Join local artist Diana Watkins at the Barrier Island Sanctuary in Melbourne Beach for the Holiday Tree-Under-the-Sea Glass Wire Wrap with Marine Life Charm event on October 28, 2023. This educational workshop will teach you the art of wire wrapping sea glass and jewelry tool use. Diana, an avid beachcomber, will share her knowledge of local beachcombing and guide you through the basics of creating beautiful wire-wrapped sea glass necklaces. Each participant will receive a kit with all the necessary supplies to complete their necklace. Not only will you take home a stunning piece of jewelry, but you'll also be making an environmentally friendly choice by using sea glass as an alternative to gemstones.
If you have your own sea glass pieces, feel free to bring them along to be evaluated for potential wrapping. The event will include materials cost of $20, payable in cash on the day. Please note that if participants are not present within 5 minutes of the start time, their spots may be given to waitlisted individuals.
