Hot Open Studio offers a 4-hour time block designed for metalsmithing students who want to practice torch work and/or pursue independent projects with instructor guidance. Complete torch set up equipment and basic toolboxes will be available for use. Beginners with basic butane torch experience are welcome! This open studio does not offer formal scheduled instruction, but instructor, Christina will be present for questions/guidance. Students do not have to be present for the full 4 hr. time block and can drop in or leave at any time. You must, however, register no later than 24hrs prior to participate.
Join our metalsmithing community at NW Rockhounds!!! We provide: Complete butane torch stations with necessary tools, pickle and neutralizer, basic toolbox with bench blocks, hammers, mallets, pliers, mitre vice and files. Also available for use- a wide variety of specialty tools including mandrels, hammers, third hands, titanium picks and clamps, sheers etc. Rolling and wire mills available for use with supervision.

There is a supply kit fee made payable to the teacher day of class by cash or check. Please come prepared to pay this fee.

Our classroom is located upstairs and are limited to 6 students for this class

You can walk to the Seattle 520 Bridge from Bellevue, as shown in Figure 1. There is also a beautiful park and parking lot here. If you like to walk across the bridge, you can reach Seattle. If you like to take the bus, you can also do so. The bus station is just below the parking lot. There are many buses and the waiting time is not long. It is very convenient.

When traveling, I always want to visit the local universities&mdash;it feels like living a different life for a moment. Especially when it&rsquo;s such a famous public university like the University of Washington. Gary Locke, former Microsoft chairman&hellip; they all graduated from UW. Bill Gates&rsquo; father, a well-known lawyer, once taught at its law school. Bruce Lee also studied here, and it was where he met his wife.

Later, I visited UW&rsquo;s Suzzallo Library&mdash;often referred to as the real-life &ldquo;Harry Potter Library.&rdquo; It grandeur rivals that of the Boston Public Library. The UW School of Medicine also ranks extremely high, consistently alongside Harvard and Stanford. Its programs in clinical medicine and public health are also highly ranked.

It&#39;s close to Amazon and Microsoft headquarters, and it collaborates closely with tech companies like Google and Meta, so its research funding is high.
